How do I assign a course license to a user?

 

As the ClickHSE Administrator you will need to choose which users in your organisation complete training courses and you do this by assigning a course license to the user for the required training course.

Login to your Admin Dashboard and go to ‘Course Management’.

There are two options for assigning licenses, you can assign licenses:

  1. Manually - you choose which course goes to a specified user

  2. Automatically - you setup rules based on locations and departments and ClickHSE automatically allocates course licenses for you.

To allocate a course manually

If you wish to assign a course to a single user, you can do so by selecting ‘Allocate Course - Manual’

  1. Select ‘Allocate Course - Manual’

  2. Choose your course from the dropdown menu, and click on ‘Search’, this will find all users who do not yet have a license for this course.

  3. Once you identify your User, tick their name and then click Assign.

To allocate a licence for another course, simply repeat the steps above making sure to select the correct course.

If you don’t see a Users name listed, this means they already have an active licence.

To allocate a course automatically

If you wish to automations for ClickHSE to issue licenses to users on your you can do so by selecting ‘Allocate Course - Auto’

  1. Go to Course Management > Allocate Course - Auto

  2. Select the course you wish to automatically allocate

  3. Either choose to allocate the course by:

    > Location - This will show all locations within your account. Once selected all future staff registered under that Location name will be issued with a course license across your entire account.  

    > Department - This will show you all departments within your account. Once selected all future staff registered under that Department name will be issued with a license across your entire account.       

    > Entire Company - By selecting this option the selected course will be issued to all future staff in one go throughout your entire account.

    > Advanced - Here you can provide a training course to a selected location and department only. (eg only users in the IT team in London)

  4. Repeat the above steps for all courses you require ClickHSE to automatically allocate for you.

Please note that auto allocation only works for staff user accounts created after this step has been done.



ClickHSE will now automate licenses and issue to users on your behalf.
